I had been looking forward to this wedding for a while.
The bride’s mom and her sister/aunt had come to meet with me last year as the bride lived in Charleston and was a busy Doctor, so they needed my help to keep them on track with what needed to be done to pull together a great celebration for the bride and her groom. The St Regis was the location and they needed help with all vendor selections. The bride and I had a phone chat so I could ensure I understood her priorities and style/vision and off we went. Below is the end result. Every one who came in contact with Sharon just loved her, she was such a lovely person and we all wanted this to be a celebration she could enjoy and then relive and cherish through the photos afterwards.
What you see below is Sharon’s twist to the sofreh, she did not want the normal setup on a low riser, so we brainstormed and came up with the crushed glass creating a base/frame, boy it looked awesome/effective. The hanging balls were all Sharon also, she had a vision and they turned out great.
Then we had the ballroom. I was soooo happy how it turned out. Sharon trusted my thoughts as to how to pull the items she knew she wanted together, and then let me lead her to add elements that finished the whole look.
Dessert stations seem to be the big thing now, either with a cake or in lieu of a wedding cake. In order to get a really good looking display you really need the hotel to create & display it, or pay a vendor to do it.
Thanks to Frank Salas for the images, Fusion for purchasing the chivaris especially for me so Sharon could have them for her wedding and be the first to use them (they are the crystal/acrylic ones if you notice), Dimas for exceeding Sharon’s imagination, my favourite Iranian/Persian wedding officiant, my new Persian dj friend that I get to work with again soon and hopefully more after that (a very classy act they were and so nice to work with) and finally to Sharon (the bride) for letting me talk her into adding elements or tweaking her thoughts, that she may not have planned on from the beginning, so that we ended up with a really memorable vision and moments that were memorable for all that attended.
Till next time

Thank you for your great ability to oversee things and in such a fun and relaxing way. I know that the day went so smoothly because of all the time you spent on all the hidden details.
ou pulled together the most beautiful wedding in less than two weeks. People who attended our wedding still comment on it being the prettiest they’ve ever been to.
I wanted to thank you again for all you did. The wedding was beyond my wildest dreams. It was beautiful and exactly as I pictured it.
We are so thankful and appreciative to have had you there on our special day. Words can not express our gratitude. From the very first moment we met you until the last moments of our wedding, you handled yourself with professionalism and respect. You made us feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire process.
You are a great woman and a wedding co-ordinator ‘extraordinaire’. We are blessed and honored to have you as our co-ordinator.
