Another great year for the very popular Huntington Ballroom at the Hyatt HB. It’s popular because it holds anywhere from 180-300 quite nicely and has a lovely balcony looking out to the famous HB surf. My ladies and I were fortunate to see this ballroom come together in a few different ways again, I picked a couple here where the majority of the centerpieces were high, due to the high ceiling and the ‘big’ feel of the ballroom, low centerpieces get quite lost. If you are doing a mixture of high/low, this is one ballroom you need to do more high than low or have the low be different height containers with floating candles, something that makes it seem different/adds to the feel of the room. You will notice that the cake is on a table on the ground, I normally have the cake be about 20′ in from the entrance doors (I do the entrance from the balcony not the foyer which is different to everyone else) and depending on how you feel, either you are against the wall facing the walls/ocean/cake, or the cake is there and your table is inbetween the entrance doors, if if you have a band then the band is against the wall and you or the cake are on a riser between the entrance doors and then your cake or yourselves are on the ground infront of it. I like centering the focus so all the guests feel as close/as important as each other. Here are just a couple of them as well as a ceremony shot with the ceremony angled to the sunset direction…
Thanks to Harvard Photography for the bottom photos of Gigi’s wedding.
The advantage that you have with our services at the Hyatt HB is that we are one of the few that have been referred and on the pre3ferred vendor list since the day the hotel opened, so myself and my ladies know the office staff/banquet team very well and we all work well together. This has allowed me to offer one of my ladies, Peni, Teri or Holly for a lesser fee to orchestrate the actual wedding day itself, if you are trying to stick to a lower budget/fee for a planner, or if I am already booked on your day time, offer tham as an alternate to again orchestrate the actual wedding day. So it’s a win win for you the couple no matter where you lie in those options. With us you have confidence and comfort in knowing we have been doing this a long time, know your property and the staff well.
Till next time

ou pulled together the most beautiful wedding in less than two weeks. People who attended our wedding still comment on it being the prettiest they’ve ever been to.
I wanted to thank you again for all you did. The wedding was beyond my wildest dreams. It was beautiful and exactly as I pictured it.
I just can’t imagine how the date could go through smoothly without you, you were amazing. Going through the whole process with you was a great life experience.
Thank you for making my wedding perfect. Everything went really well and I was able to really enjoy it. My guests are still complimenting me on how nice everything was. Everyone kept commenting on how calm I was and that is because I had you to take care of everything.
You are a great woman and a wedding co-ordinator ‘extraordinaire’. We are blessed and honored to have you as our co-ordinator.
