Loved my time with these two, just lovely and special. They already had a wee one (who entered the reception on a remote controlled Bentley much to everyone’s amusement) so all our meetings were based around baby’s schedule, which worked out just fine. Sam had contacted me months before, then they both came and met with me and then nothing for months, then about three months before Sam called saying the date is close, lets get going. So starting from scratch we got going. Mia had a very clear vision for how she wanted her wedding gazebo to look, I couldn’t quite get it but Karla/Elegant By Design totally got it and made it happen. The view above is from Mia’s balcony looking down on her ceremony site, not a bad backdrop right.
We were in the Terrace Salon room so the gold/pearly walls worked well with Mia’s pink feel she wanted, it was a certain pink, not light pink and not fushia, I think you can see by looking at these pics that Matthew/OCASV lighting got it perfectly.
When I broached the idea of the one rose bouquet for Mia she loved it and Karla made a really big one which was just stunning. They don’t drink martinis but wanted a luge, so Carving Ice made us a champagne luge which was well received.
As you can tell from the pictures it was just a lovely, sweet, wedding for a lovely, sweet, couple and I was honored to help them bring it to life.
Thanks to the great vendor team we pulled together to make it perfect, Newport Bay Productions/Video, 4 snapz/photobooth, Paul Uhlar for your lovely ceremony as always, Naples Strings for ceremony and cocktails, Alvarron Ent/DJ-Al for always being great to work with and reading the crowd well, Monico Décor for my fave the round dancefloor and other rentals and to Wildflower Linen for our B&G chair covers, always a hit. And to the ladies and gentlemen at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna, our ‘work family’ as Teri and I refer to you all, you make us look great and we love you all, 7 star all the way.
I will always remember Sam and Mia’s wedding, because it is as always a remembrance to live each day fully as you never know what is going to happen the next day or even the next moment, lol. They did not know but it was actually my wedding anniversary, but I loved them so much took their wedding on, it was a daytime wedding (we closed the drapes in the room for the lighting to have full effect) and that night I went and had an awesome massage, my feet were really pampered and I remember being very aware of my feet/ankle areas really getting a good massage, went home and my husband had got Flemings to bring home for dinner, great night, went off to do a wedding the next day and 45 mins before ceremony lost my balance on uneven ground and went over dislocating and breaking my ankle, off to the ER I went, more on that tomorrow ……………….

ou pulled together the most beautiful wedding in less than two weeks. People who attended our wedding still comment on it being the prettiest they’ve ever been to.
