I was contacted by a lovely man from the sales team from the W hotel in LA, had I seen the hotel at all? I had to admit I had not, I got a group of my co-ordinator friends together, and off we went to try some of the food and get a good tour of the property.
If you are coming to LA from somewhere else and wanting a really Hollywood feel wedding experience with either an intimate group or larger group, you can’t beat this location. Right bang in the heart of Hollywood, with patios that stare out to the icon signs and let you know where you are, to the sounds/feel of the area around you. If you are Hollywood struck, this is the place for you. Now if you are a local group, wanting more of that sophisticated feeling wedding event, you could get married at a church close by and then have everyone drive over, valet, enter the grand grand lobby that makes you stop and go WOW, and then have cocktails in a cool outdoor area or inside area with windows/view, before having everyone enter the ballroom where you have created whatever kind of atmosphere you want with lighting/linens/decor etc and for the next 4 hours it’s all about the fun going on in that room and then they leave and go, oh that’s right we forgot all about where we are, lets go hit the nightclubs. The hotel rooms are wonderful, the rooftop pool/cabanas, and night club at the W are awesome in vibe.
